Chris understands the struggles located in our neglected city, and tirelessly works to change things in the right direction.
What motivated Chris to run for a seat in city council? You. Us. The Hesperia community.
While conducting some research about Hesperia and it's municipality, he stumbled upon the shocking case of United States v. Hesperia. Chris was absolutely stunned knowing that his local government passed an unconstitutional ordinance, one which targeted and evicted a majority of Latinos and African Americans living within district lines. He describes it an as attack on people like him, his family, friends, and community. All individuals, regardless of their background, deserve the right to be treated equal. To have, as the constitution states, the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Hesperia’s needs have long been neglected. We have crumbling roads, lack of social services, poor infrastructure, lack of good paying jobs, an affordable housing crisis, environmental neglect, and poor access to healthcare and higher education. Chris in this race to tackle these issues by investing in our community through these simple points: community, healing, restoration, innovation, and solutions! Chris wants to create a better world for our children and for the generations to come.
Together we can make Hesperia the star of the High Desert; together we can have change in the right direction.
